Lourdes Gurriel grabbing seat for Blue Jays Monday afternoon
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel is not in the starting lineup for Monday afternoon's series opener against right-hander Eli Morgan and the Cleveland Indians.
The Blue Jays appear to be giving Gurriel a standard breather for Monday's matinee. Teoscar Hernandez, George Springer, and Randal Grichuk are starting across the outfield for Toronto while Bo Bichette handles the designated hitter role.
Through 31 1/3 innings pitched this season, Morgan's xSLG (.536) ranks in the bottom 2% of the league and his wOBA (.399) is on par with the league's worst. Springer has a $8,500 salary on Monday afternoon's one-game slate and numberFire's models expect him to lead all hitters in the contest with 16.1 FanDuel points. Hernandez ($6,500; 13.5 FP) is our second-best point-per-dollar value among hitters in the contest.
