Javier Baez (heel) back in Cubs' lineup Thursday afternoon
Chicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez (heel) is back in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Luis Castillo and the Cincinnati Reds.
Baez is returning to shortstop and cleanup duties after being held out the previous three games. Nico Hoerner, who started the last three games at shortstop in place of Baez, has been placed on the 10-day injured list with an oblique strain.
numberFire’s models project Baez for 9.8 FanDuel points and he has a $3,500 salary on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Cubs have an implied total of 3.6 runs. Castillo is registering a 22.5 strikeout percentage with a 10.1 walk percentage this season.
