Rays' Nelson Cruz (foot) scratched on Wednesday, Austin Meadows to start against Yankees
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Nelson Cruz (foot) has been scratched from Wednesday's game against the New York Yankees.
Cruz is dealing with a right foot contusion after taking a foul ball off his foot during Tuesday's game. Austin Meadows will enter the lineup in the designated hitter role and bat third versus left-hander Nestor Cortes and the Yankees.
