Luis Torrens taking seat Wednesday for Seattle
Seattle Mariners catcher/first baseman/designated hitter Luis Torrens is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Jake Odorizzi and the Houston Astros.
Torrens is taking a seat following seven consecutive starts. Mitch Haniger is covering the DH role while Ty France plays first base again and Tom Murphy starts behind the plate. Jake Bauers is returning to the lineup to hit eighth and man right field.
numberFire’s models project Haniger for 11.9 FanDuel points and he has a $3,500 salary on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mariners have an implied total of 4.2 runs. Odorizzi is registering a 22.7 strikeout percentage with an 8.0 walk percentage this season, and an average exit velocity (91.3 mph) that ranks in the bottom 8% of the league.
