Michael Brantley on Astros' bench Wednesday

Houston Astros outfielder Michael Brantley is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Yusei Kikuchi and the Seattle Mariners.

What It Means:

Brantley is getting a maintenance day after going 0-for-5 with a pair of strikeouts on Tuesday. Chas McCormick is making a start in left field and hitting seventh while Yordan Alvarez hits third as the Astros' designated hitter. Aledmys Diaz is covering the second spot in the order for Brantley.

numberFire’s models project Diaz for 8.5 FanDuel points and he has a $2,000 salary on Wednesday. Alvarez ($3,900) is projected for 12.3 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Astros have an implied total of 4.3 runs. Kikuchi is registering a 26.6 strikeout percentage with an 8.2 walk percentage this season.
