Tony Kemp taking seat for Athletics against Padres
Oakland Athletics second baseman/left fielder Tony Kemp is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's interleague road game against right-hander Chris Paddack and the San Diego Padres.
The Athletics are playing in a National League park the next two games and therefore left without a designated hitter. Kemp is taking a seat Tuesday as Jed Lowrie starts on second base and bats cleanup. Mark Canha is making another start in left field.
numberFire’s models project Lowrie for 10.9 FanDuel points and he has a $2,700 salary on Tuesday. Canha ($2,900) is projected for 9.6 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Athletics have the third-lowest implied total in the majors on Tuesday (3.9 runs). Paddack's walk rate this season (5.1 percent) ranks in the top nine percent of the league.
