Tom Murphy moving to Mariners' bench Monday night
Seattle Mariners catcher Tom Murphy is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Luis Garcia and the Houston Astros.
Murphy started on Sunday but he remains behind Cal Raleigh on the Mariners' depth chart. Raleigh is catching for Seattle and hitting fifth.
numberFire’s models project Raleigh for 6.6 FanDuel points and he has a $2,100 salary on Monday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mariners have an implied total of 3.7 runs, the third-lowest total on Monday's slate. Garcia is registering a 28.5 strikeout percentage over 91 1/3 innings.
