Francisco Mejia out of Rays' lineup Friday
Tampa Bay Rays catcher Francisco Mejia is not in the starting lineup for Friday's series opener against right-hander Zach Plesac and the Cleveland Indians.
Mejia is moving to the bench after starting the last three games. Mike Zunino is catching for Josh Fleming and hitting ninth after missing a few games with a hip issue.
numberFire’s models project Zunino for 10.6 FanDuel points and he has a $2,500 salary on Friday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rays have an implied total of 4.7 runs. Plesac's strikeout rate this season (16.4 percent) ranks in the bottom eight percent of the league, but his walk rate (4.7 percent) is in the top sixth percentile.
