Josh Rojas (finger) out of Diamondbacks' lineup Friday afternoon
Arizona Diamondbacks infielder/outfielder Josh Rojas (finger) is not in the starting lineup for Friday afternoon's series opener against right-hander Zach Davies and the Chicago Cubs.
Rojas dislocated his pinkie finger during Wednesday's game and he remains out Friday. The Diamondbacks reportedly haven't ruled out a trip to the injured list. Josh VanMeter will replace Rojas at second base and bat leadoff in Friday's afternoon.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Diamondbacks have an implied total of 4.7 runs. Davies' strikeout rate this season (14.5 percent) ranks in the bottom three percent of the majors, among qualified pitchers, and his xwOBA (.369) is in the bottom sixth percentile.
