Texas Rangers catcher John Hicks is not starting in Friday's contest against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Hicks will sit on Friday night after Jonah Heim was chosen as Texas starting catcher for Jordan Lyles.
Per Baseball Savant on 17 batted balls this season, Hicks has produced a 17.6% barrel rate and a .214 expected average.
