Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Sandy Alcantara and the Miami Marlins.
Turner went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer on Wednesday and he is now batting .500 with a 1.306 OPS through the first week of July. He is getting a routine breather on Thursday as the Dodgers wrap up an eight-game East Coast road trip. Zach McKinstry is covering third base on Thursday and hitting eighth.
numberFire’s models project McKinstry for 9.7 FanDuel points and he has a $2,000 salary on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Dodgers have an implied total of 4.1 runs. Alcantara is registering a 21.3 strikeout percentage with a 7.3 walk percentage this season.
