Atlanta Braves catcher William Contreras is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against left-hander David Peterson and the New York Mets.
Contreras is out of the lineup for the second time in the last three games. His batting average has dropped from .239 to .220 in the month of June. Kevan Smith is catching for Max Fried on Wednesday and batting eighth.
