Marlins place Dee Gordon on 15-day DL
The Marlins placed second baseman Dee Gordon on the 15-day DL with a dislocated left thumb.
What It Means:
Gordon is seventh in nERD among second basemen at 1.32, which is the amount of runs he's contributing over a league-average hitter per game. With the loss of Gordon and Stanton, the Marlins are without 4.17 in nERD in their lineup. To this point the Marlins rank 25th in wOBA and 27th in wRC+, and the loss of Gordon certainly won't help.
