Giants' Darin Ruf sitting Wednesday
San Francisco Giants infielder/outfielder Darin Ruf is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's game against right-hander Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Angels.
Ruf went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored as the Giants' designated hitter on Tuesday in his first appearance since May 26 because of a right hamstring strain. He will likely work in a utility reserve role moving forward. Alex Dickerson will bat second as the Giants' DH on Wednesday as they wrap up a two-game road interleague road set.
Dickerson is currently numberFire's fourth-best point-per-dollar value among hitters on Wednesday. He has a $2,200 salary and our models project him for 12.1 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Giants have an implied total of 4.0 runs. Ohtani owns the best strikeout percentage (32.9) this season among Wednesday's listed starters.
