Ben Gamel in left field Wednesday afternoon for Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Ben Gamel is in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's game against right-hander Dylan Cease and the Chicago White Sox.
Gamel will replace Phillip Evans in left field and hit sixth after being held out of Tuesday's lineup. Gamel appears to have leap-frogged Evans on the Pirates' depth chart.
numberFire’s models project Gamel for 8.4 FanDuel points and he has a $2,100 salary on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Pirates have an implied total of 3.8 runs. Cease is registering a 29.3 strikeout percentage with a less imposing 10.2 walk percentage this season.
