Ryan O'Hearn recalled, in Royals' lineup Tuesday
The Kansas City Royals recalled infielder Ryan O'Hearn from Triple-A Omaha.
O'Hearn is replacing Adalberto Mondesi on the active roster after Mondesi was placed on the injured list with an oblique strain. He will bat cleanup as the Royals' designated hitter on Tuesday versus right-hander Gerrit Cole and the New York Yankees. Carlos Santana will shift to first base and Hunter Dozier will man left field in place of Jarrod Dyson. O'Hearn slashed just .189/.246/.377 over 57 plate appearances with the Royals earlier this season.
numberFire’s models project O'Hearn for 8.2 FanDuel points and he has a $2,200 salary on Tuesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Royals are the only team in the majors on Tuesday with an implied total below 3.0 runs. Cole is registering a 34.7 strikeout percentage and 3.6 walk percentage this season.
