Los Angeles Angels outfielder Justin Upton is not in the lineup Sunday in the team's game against the Detroit Tigers.
Upton is being replaced in left field by Taylor Ward against Tigers starter Casey Mize.
In 254 plate appearances this season, Upton has a .249 batting average with an .823 OPS, 14 home runs, 40 runs and 32 RBI.
