Oakland Athletics second baseman Jed Lowrie is not starting in Saturday's game against the New York Yankees.
Lowrie will receive a breather after Tony Kemp was moved to second base and Chad Pinder was named Saturday's starting left fielder.
Per Baseball Savant on 176 batted balls this season, Lowrie has produced a 10.2% barrel rate and a .269 expected average.
