Yandy Diaz sitting for Rays Thursday night
Tampa Bay Rays infielder Yandy Diaz is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series opener against right-hander Justin Dunn and the Seattle Mariners.
Diaz will grab a seat after hitting a home run on Wednesday as the Rays' starting third baseman. Joey Wendle will move to the hot corner on Thursday and hit fifth. Taylor Walls will enter the lineup to play shortstop and bat sixth. Ji-Man Choi will start at first base again and Austin Meadows will handle designated hitter duties.
numberFire’s models project Walls for 10.5 FanDuel points and he has a $2,400 salary on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rays have an implied total of 4.8 runs.
