Oakland Athletics pitcher Jarrod Parker re-fractured the medial epicondyle in his right elbow, an MRI revealed.
This is awful news for Parker, who has had a horrible time with elbow injuries throughout his career. This is his fourth major elbow injury, and it happened during his first live batting practice of the spring.
Parker last pitched in the majors in 2013, recording a 4.41 xFIP in 197 innings. He had a 16.4 strikeout percentage that season, which is below the league average of 20.4 percent.
