Jacob Stallings sitting Wednesday for Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Jacob Stallings is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Pablo Espino and the Washington Nationals.
Michael Perez will replace Stallings behind the plate and Gregory Polanco will fill the void in the cleanup spot. Stallings has gone 2-for-16 with a home run, a double, and a pair of runs over the last four games.
numberFire’s models project Polanco for 10.7 FanDuel points and he has a $2,500 salary on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Pirates have an implied total of 4.3 runs. Espino's walk rate this season (3.5 percent) is tied for the best number among Wednesday's listed starters.
