Washington Nationals infielder Starlin Castro is sitting Tuesday in the team's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Castro is being replaced at third base by Jordy Mercer against Pirates starter Tyler Anderson.
In 254 plate appearances this season, Castro has a .239 batting average with a .599 OPS, 2 home runs, 14 runs and 23 RBI.
