New York Mets infielder Jonathan Villar is not starting in Sunday's contest against the San Diego Padres.
Villar will rest on Sunday afternoon after Jose Peraza and Luis Guillorme were named New York's starting second and third baseman.
According to Baseball Savant on 113 batted balls this season, Villar has produced a 8.8% barrel rate and a .246 expected average.
