Buster Posey back behind Giants' plate Thursday
San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey is back in the starting lineup for Thursday's series opener against right-hander Max Scherzer and the Washington Nationals.
Posey will catch Anthony DeSclafani and bat third as he looks to extend a four-game multi-hit streak. Chadwick Tromp should be available off the bench after filling in during Posey's day off.
numberFire’s models project Posey for 9.5 FanDuel points and he has a $3,300 salary on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, Scherzer has the second-highest strikeout rate (36.1 percent) out of the slate's 20 listed starters. The Giants have the third-lowest implied total (3.5 runs).
