Aledmys Diaz (hand) not in Astros lineup Sunday
The Houston Astros did not list Aledmys Diaz (hand) in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Diaz could potentially be looking at a multiple-month absence as he recovers from what appears to be a fractured hand. Yordan Alvarez will take over in left field for Diaz, while Yuli Gurriel switches to designated hitter and Taylor Jones starts at first base.
Diaz was having one of the strongest seasons of his career in 2021, with 3 home runs, 14 runs, 18 RBI, a .278 batting average and a .776 OPS over 126 plate appearances. Hopefully he makes a full and speedy recovery.
