Lakers' Anthony Davis (groin) unlikely to play in Game 5
Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis (strained groin) is considered to be unlikely to play in Tuesday's playoff match against the Phoenix Suns.
Davis suffered the injury during Game 4 and was unable to return to that contest. The Athletic's Shams Charania noted that while Davis is unlikely to play in Tuesday's game, "there's optimism about Davis' status" for the rest of the series and that Davis is considered day-to-day.
Davis' absence certainly opens up an opportunity for the Suns to get a step ahead of the Lakers on Tuesday, but hopefully the star will make a quick recovery. Kyle Kuzma appeared to be Davis' replacement during Game 4 and would be the most likely Laker to enter the starting lineup.
