San Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt (side) is not starting in Wednesday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Belt will be kept out of Wednesday night's lineup after San Francisco's slugger experienced left side discomfort. Expect Darin Ruf to see more at-bats until Belt is ready to return.
Per Baseball Savant on 69 batted balls this season, Belt has produced a 18.8% barrel rate and a .207 expected average.
