Mets' Johneshwy Fargas making MLB debut Monday
New York Mets outfielder Johneshwy Fargas will make his MLB debut in Monday's series opener against left-hander Max Fried and the Atlanta Braves.
Fargas was called up on Monday from Triple-A Syracuse and he will bat ninth in his first game in the bigs. The 26-year-old could see regular playing time while Michael Conforto (hamstring) and Brandon Nimmo (finger) are on the injured list.
Fargas batted .249/.325/.334 with five homers and 50 steals at the Double-A level in the Giants organization in his last full season in 2019.
