Ben Gamel was not listed in the Pittsburgh Pirates' lineup for Sunday's game against the San Francisco Giants.
Gamel will sit Sunday out while Ka'ai Tom takes over in left field and bats seventh.
Gamel is batting just .107 in 32 plate appearances this season.
