Paul DeJong (side) out of Cardinals' lineup Thursday
St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong (side) is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Corbin Burnes and the Milwaukee Brewers.
DeJong was pulled from Wednesday night's game early due to left side discomfort. The Cardinals should provide an update at some point on Thursday. Tommy Edman will cover shortstop and Matt Carpenter will start on second base in Thursday's matinee.
numberFire’s models project Edman for 8.8 FanDuel points and he has a $2,600 salary on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Cardinals are the only team playing Thursday with an implied total below 3.0 runs.
