Yermin Mercedes sitting Thursday for White Sox
Chicago White Sox designated hitter Yermin Mercedes is not in the lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Michael Pineda and the Minnesota Twins.
Jose Abreu will bat cleanup and play DH for the White Sox with Mercedes out of the lineup. Jake Lamb will make a start on first base and bat second.
