New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Lance McCullers Jr. and the Houston Astros.
Kyle Higashioka will catcher Gerrit Cole and bat eighth. It appears to be a standard day off for Sanchez. He is batting .175/.333/.286 through the first month-plus of the season.
