Los Angeles Angels catcher/infielder Taylor Ward is starting Wednesday in the team's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Ward is getting the nod in right field while batting second against Rays opener Andrew Kittredge.
In 102 plate appearances last season, Ward had a .277 batting average with a .716 OPS, 16 runs and 5 RBI.
