Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers (shoulder) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's series opener against right-hander Michael Fulmer and the Detroit Tigers.

Devers is dealing with a sore shoulder but it shouldn't cost him more than a game or two. Marwin Gonzalez will cover third base Tuesday and hit sixth. Bobby Dalbec will enter the lineup on first base and bat ninth.
