Boston Red Sox right fielder Hunter Renfroe will hit eighth in Thursday's series opener against right-hander Kyle Gibson and the Texas Rangers.
Renfroe will return to the lineup after being held out Wednesday. Alex Verdugo will start in left and J.D. Martinez will be Boston's designated hitter.
