The New York Yankees did not name Brett Gardner in their lineup for Monday's game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Gardner will take the game off Monday while Aaron Hicks covers center field duties.
Gardner has been slow out of the gates this season, posting career-lows in batting average (.194) and OPS (.560). Hopefully the veteran will be able to turn it around soon.
