Baltimore's Brian Matusz undergoing MRI on back
Baltimore Orioles reliever Brian Matusz is undergoing an MRI on his back Thursday.
What It Means:
Matusz felt some back discomfort during his one inning of work in Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Braves. He gave up a home run, walk and double in that appearance.
The left-handed Matusz will be entering his age-29 season in 2016. He's coming off of a year in which he posted a 3.94 xFIP over 49 innings out of the bullpen.
