Nick Maton starting at shortstop for Phillies Monday
The Philadelphia Phillies listed Nick Maton as their starting shortstop for Monday night's game against the San Francisco Giants.
Maton will make his MLB debut tonight against the Giants, handling shortstop duties while Didi Gregorius takes the night off. He'll bat eighth tonight.
Maton had a strong spring training, making 31 plate appearances and batting .286 with a .891 OPS, adding 1 home run, 8 RBI, and 1 stolen base in the process.
