Oakland Athletics infielder Mitch Moreland will not play Sunday in the team's game against the Detroit Tigers.
Moreland is being replaced at designated hitter by Aramis Garcia against Tigers starter Matthew Boyd.
In 37 plate appearances this season, Moreland has a .212 batting average with a .482 OPS, 1 run and 5 RBI.
