New York Yankees outfielder Jay Bruce is not starting in Friday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Bruce will sit on Friday night after DJ LeMahieu was announced as New York's starting first baseman.
Per Baseball Savant on 21 batted balls this season, Bruce has produced a .168 expected average and a 19% hard hit rate.
