Angels put Max Stassi on injured list with thumb sprain
The Los Angeles Angels placed catcher Max Stassi on the 10-day injured list with a left thumb sprain.
Stassi injured his thumb on Monday but X-rays turned back negative. The Angels recalled Anthony Bemboom from their alternate training site in a related roster move but Kurt Suzuki will likely serve as the club's primary catcher in the meantime. Suzuki will catch Dylan Bundy on Tuesday and bat eighth versus left-hander Danny Duffy and the Kansas City Royals.
Suzuki is currently numberFire’s best value play at the catcher position on Tuesday's slate. Our models project him for 10.5 FanDuel points and he has a salary of $2,100. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Angels have an implied total of 4.5 runs.
