Ronald Guzman (knee) placed on Rangers 10-day IL
The Texas Rangers placed infielder/outfielder Ronald Guzman on the 10-day injured list with a meniscus cartilage tear in his right knee.
Guzman had to be carted off the field on Monday and he's out indefinitely. The Rangers purchased the contract of Adolis Garcia from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding roster move. Garcia will replace Guzman in left field on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Rays and bat sixth versus left-hander Ryan Yarbrough.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Rangers have an implied total of 3.3 runs on Tuesday.
