Tigers place Miguel Cabrera (biceps) on 10-day injured list
The Detroit Tigers have placed Miguel Cabrera (biceps) on the 10-day injured list.
What It Means:
They promoted Renato Nunez, who will bat cleanup today from the designated hitter role, to the active roster in a corresponding move as well. Jonathan Schoop will man first base today with Cabrera sidelined.
Cabrera has gotten off to a slow start in his age 38 season, with a .125 batting average and a .514 OPS through 27 plate appearances so far.
