Toronto's Teoscar Hernandez placed on COVID-19 list, Josh Palacios to start on Friday
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez was placed on the COVID-19 list and has been ruled out of Friday's game against the Los Angeles Angels.
Hernandez was reportedly a close contact with an individual who tested positive for COVID and has been placed on the COVID-19 list as a result. Josh Palacios will make his MLB debut and start in Hernandez's place in right field on Friday. He will bat ninth versus left-hander Andrew Heaney and the Angels.
Hernandez is batting 0.207 this season with 1 homer and 2 RBI in 29 plate appearances.
