Brett Phillips making season debut for Rays Friday
The Tampa Bay Rays activated outfielder Brett Phillips from the 10-day injured list.
What It Means:
Phillips missed the first week of the season due to a hamstring injury. He will start in center field in place of Manuel Margot on Friday afternoon versus the New York Yankees and hit eighth. Phillips could see additional playing time while Kevin Kiermaier (quad) is out.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Rays have an implied total of 4.0 runs on Friday's nine-game slate.
