Alex Verdugo starting for Red Sox Thursday
Boston Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo is in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series opener against right-hander Matt Harvey and the Baltimore Orioles.
What It Means:
Verdugo will replace Hunter Renfroe in right field and hit second after taking a breather in Wednesday's series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays. He has doubled in each of his last two appearances. Rafael Devers will drop a couple spots to hit cleanup.
