The Detroit Tigers signed infielder Casey McGehee to a minor league contract.
It presumably includes an invitation to spring training, where McGehee will attempt to win a bench job.
The 33-year-old McGehee was flat-out brutal last season, batting just .198/.264/.274 with two home runs over 109 games between the San Francisco Giants and Miami Marlins. His .538 OPS was fourth-lowest among players with at least 250 plate appearances.
