New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez is not in the lineup Wednesday in Game 3 of the ALDS against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Sanchez is being replaced behind the plate by Kyle Higashioka against Rays starter Charlie Morton.
In 178 plate appearances this season, Sanchez has a .147 batting average and a .618 OPS.
