Oakland pursuing Milwaukee slugger Khris Davis
The Oakland Athletics and Milwaukee Brewers are discussing a potential trade, with Khris Davis believed to be the target for the Athletics, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The Brewers have had Davis, perhaps their best trade chip, on the block for some time now and are expected to move him before this summer's trade deadline. The Brewers are in full rebuilding mode at this point and are likely seeking controllable young talent in return.
Davis is a great source of right-handed power. In 440 plate appearances in 2015, he slugged 27 jacks and posted a .353 wOBA. Entering his age-28 season, Steamer Projections have him mashing 26 homers with a .336 wOBA.
