Tigers' Brandon Dixon starting Thursday
Detroit Tigers infielder/outfielder Brandon Dixon will start in Thursday's series opener against left-hander Kris Bubic and the Kansas City Royals.
Dixon will replace Harold Castro in left field and hit sixth. He went 0-for-2 on Tuesday in his season debut after being recalled from the Tigers' alternate training site. Dixon slashed .248/.290/.435 with 15 homers and 52 RBI in 117 games last season.
